Maintaining a strong level of communication at all times is essential for securing a healthy environment for a child to develop. That’s why Columbia Academy has made multiple resources available for parents of its students, and actively encourages all forms of teacher-parent communication at all times.
Parents of infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds are provided with a detailed daily report about their child’s disposition. It includes activities, a thorough schedule, eating and sleeping habits, and any additional notes the caretaker deems appropriate. This allows parents to stay actively involved and see the level of individual detail and care that goes into their child’s stay here.
In an effort to promote constant communication and keep parents in the know, Columbia Academy posts all of the lesson plans for parents to review.
OPEN DOOR POLICY
Our open door policy makes sure no parent ever falls out of the loop or feels unengaged with their child’s education. We make an effort to reach out to parents regularly, both in the event of concerns and as a normal routine, and encourage parents to communicate as much as they’d like with our administration and teachers to ensure the best possible environment for their children’s learning.
