Parent Involvement

We encourage all of our parents to partner with us in the education of their child. Although we do not require volunteer hours for parents, we welcome parent participation. We offer many opportunities for parents to get involved. A few of these opportunities include:

Chaperoning field trips
Volunteering in the classroom
Helping with events
Serving as a Homeroom Parent

Family Events

A number of events are held each year that are open to family members. These events help promote relationship building among parents, teachers, students, and administrators. These events include:

Communication with Families

Columbia Academy has an open door policy, meaning that parents are welcome at any time. We also regularly communicate with parents through email newsletters, individual emails, and parent conferences. Teachers welcome parent questions and work to build strong relationships with parents.
