In a recent letter to the community Action Council of Howard County, a mother wrote that she and her son were unemployed, behind in rent and energy payments, and had no food. She wrote that a CAC Rapid Response counselor at our Gateway office “took the time, was patient, and helped us tremendously. We want to express our appreciation for all she has done for me and my family.”
Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to help our most vulnerable citizens. But we couldn’t accomplish what we do without your generous financial support.
On behalf of the Community Action Council Board of Directors, staff and our clients, I would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to you for your generous donation of 4,693 pounds of food to our Howard County Food Bank in the last quarter. Your commitment will help CAC maintain it quality its quality services, which include the Food Bank, Head Start, and Energy, Housing, Weatherization and Crisis Intervention Assistance Programs.
We give our clients hope and the opportunity to move closer to self-sufficiency. You make that possible. Thank you for your trust in us, and for making a difference.
