Maintaining Physical and Social-Emotional Wellness This School Year

September 9, 2020

The physical and social-emotional well-being of students and families is a top priority as the world continues to adjust to the uncertainties related to COVID-19. These are challenging times, especially for children, both in the U.S. and around the world. Health and safety, social-emotional development, and established routines are critical to educators and families in preparing children for success whether they are distance learning or on-campus.

Teaching Strategies® and ReadyRosie™  have partnered together to bring families the following ReadyRosie™ Modeled Moments COVID-19 videos with health and safety as well as social-emotional development in mind. These short videos are designed to help parents prepare children for whatever their learning environment looks like this school year.

Kindness in a Pandemic

Secret Family Code (bilingual)

Healthy Handwashing

Getting creative with Physical Distancing!

While in many ways this is still uncharted territory, our teachers and school leaders are successfully navigating the new school year with the physical and social-emotional safety of all students in mind.
