Every year, Columbia Academy’s winter, spring, and summer camps keep children interested, engaged, and excited about learning outside the classroom. With hands-on experiments, activities, and dozens of fun, interesting topics, our programs have provided unique educational experiences and timeless memories for nearly 30 years.

Elementary and Middle School Winter Camp

Winter camp registration is OPEN for priority enrollment of current Columbia Academy students, siblings, and staff children.

Dates: December 28 – 31, 2020 

Hours: December 28 – 30, 2020 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. / December 31, 2020 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Cost: $65 per child, per day

We have planned exciting, hands-on, and educational daily activities for school-age students currently in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade! Our staff is engaging and professional with a ratio of 1:14.

Columbia Academy families will have priority registration of their currently-enrolled Columbia Academy child(ren) and siblings in Winter Camp before enrollment opens to the public. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority enrollment ends November 29th, and enrollment will open to the public on November 30th. Should cancelation be necessary, it must be made in writing by December 4th. Tuition and fees for cancelation after December 4th are non-refundable.

Lunch is available during Winter Camp for an additional $5.00 per day and must be ordered and paid for at the time of enrollment. If you do not pre-purchase lunch on the camp application, you will be required to pack your child a lunch each day (note: we are a nut free school). For planning and ordering purposes, we are unable to add lunch orders after registration has closed.

We are required to have the forms below for all students attending Winter Camp at Columbia Academy Elementary and Middle School (already on file for current CA students). Students without completed paperwork will not be able to attend Winter Camp. All forms must be on file no later than December 11th. • Emergency Card • Epi-pen form (if applicable)

Campers must be picked up by 6:00 pm (3:00 pm on December 31) or late pick-up charges will be assessed at $25.00 per child for the first 15 minutes or any portion thereof, followed by $1.50 per minute, per child, thereafter.

Elementary and Middle School

We are excited to announce our camp is now available for all families! To ensure we are following the latest guidelines from state and local authorities, we have several changes to the structure of our camp program this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please see the list below that summarizes the precautions and changes we must have in place to continue to offer our camp program to all families 

  • Temperature and symptom screening when entering the building  
  • Face masks are required for staff and families entering the building, and for children 9 and older 
  • Group sizes of 15 or smaller, including the counselor 
  • Children will be with the same group throughout the week 
  • Limited transitions and no cross contamination 
    • This required us to cancel field trips and pool visits this summer 
  • Controlled use of shared spaces (i.e. playground, gym) 
  • Daily cleaning checklist completed by counselors and administrators 
  • AM and PM snack will be served daily 
  • Families must provide a packed lunch daily (until further notice)  
  • Academic enrichment incorporated into the weekly themes 
    • Focused on reading, writing, math and science
